While solid as a 2-year-old, race-timed in 1:51.2 and competing in such major stakes as the Metro and Governor's Cup, Vintage Master blossomed when he reached the 3-year-old "glamour division." He earned over $1.3-million that year and won the Cane Pace at Freehold in season's and track record time, the Adios, and four other major stakes. He finished second in the $1,000,000 Meadowlands Pace and in his heat of the classic Little Brown Jug to 2009 "Pacer of the Year" Well Said, a horse he had defeated in the Adios Final.

As a 4-year-old in 2010 Vintage Master continued to prove himself one of the sport's elite pacers. He won his elim and the $500,000 final of the Ben Franklin FFA Pace at Harrah's Chester that season, setting a World Record of 1:48.1f in the elim and defeating such top-ranked horses as Foiled Again in the rich final.

He is the second-richest son of the great Brittany-bred, World Champion sire Western Ideal.

As a sire now standing in British Columbia, Vintage Master has produced the earners of more than $4.7-million, including $300,000 winner Vintage Babe.
