Youaremycandygirl p,2,1:50.4 ($284,045), by American Ideal-Sweet Lady Jane, stepped up from her successful campaign on the New York Sire Stakes circuit to a freshman filly classic—and waltzed away with an impressive victory!

She captured the $500,000 She’s A Great Lady Stakes at Mohawk tagmenstime.com on Sept. 23 in gate-to-wire fashion in 1:50.4, making her the fastest 2-year-old filly pacer of 2017. (Watch Race)

The Ron Burke trainee, owned by Bill Donovan and bred by Seth Rosenfeld’s Birnam Wood Farms, is now 4 for 6 on the year and sports three NYSS wins in addition to the classic stakes race now highlighted on her resume. She is also the track record-holder at Tioga Downs from one of her NYSS wins.

The filly is tied with two others as the second-highest priced offspring by American Ideal to sell last fall, as Donovan himself plucked her from the 2016 Harrisburg Sale for $150,000.

Brittany congratulates her connections and wishes them the best of luck as they head to other stakes en route to the $225,000 NYSS finals at Yonkers.
