Brittany Farms ranks as harness racing’s leading breeder in average earnings per starter in 2017, and that’s a position farm manager Art Zubrod expects the farm to maintain in the coming years.

“People may find this hard to believe, but I think you haven’t even seen the best of Brittany Farms yet,” Zubrod said.

“This year’s yearling crop (see roster/video page) is the first that has been raised at the new farm, and they’re undeniably the best-looking and most athletic group of horses we’ve ever produced. Going in, we truly expected the new farm to deliver, and it’s exceeded our expectations.”

Brittany has always ranked at or near the top in average earnings per starter, and the farm also ranks as the leading breeder in percentage of millionaires from foals. In addition, it is the number one breeder, regardless of percentages, in Breeders Crown wins.

Yearling buyers understand there’s a “sky’s the limit” upside of purchasing a yearling from Brittany Farms, and this year that’s more than apparent with farm-bred headliners like the undefeated Manchego leading a parade of stakes stars.

Those who’d like to visit the new farm to inspect yearlings prior to the Lexington Selected Sale (Oct. 3-7) are asked to call ahead to set up a time. Call (859) 873-3878 or email Art Zubrod at art@britfarms.com.
