Six PackMohegan Sun at Pocono’s “Sun Stakes” elims last Saturday night were loaded with both Brittany Farms-bred winners and winners sired by American Ideal.

Horses bred, raised and sold as yearlings by Brittany, Manchego and Six Pack, won two of the three elims for this coming weekend’s $500,000 Earl Beal Memorial 3-Year-Old Trot Final.

Manchego 3,1:52.4f ($929,688), last year’s “2-Year-Old Trotting Filly of the Year,” took on the boys and won in the fastest time of the three divisions—1:52.4—to keep her 15 for 15 undefeated streak intact. The daughter of Muscle Hill-Secret Magic also took a new career record in the process and inched ever closer to the $1-million mark in earnings.

Six Pack 3,1:51.2 ($345,055), undefeated this year and recent winner of the $223,673 Empire Breeders Classic, is stamping himself as another legitimate contender for the Hambletonian. The son of Muscle Mass-Pleasing Lady won his elim in comfortable gate-to-wire fashion and looks to have plenty in the tank for the upcoming final. (Watch Race)

Another 2-year-old Dan Patch Champion and World Champion from last year, American Ideal’s Youaremycandygirl p,2,1:50 ($925,915), is another nearing the million-dollar plateau after her 1:51.3 score in her elim for the $300,000 James Lynch Memorial.

Wrapping up the impressive tally was Hitman Hill p,3,1:49.3f ($182,803), another by American Ideal. He’s in high gear and ready to take on the highly ranked Lather Up in this weekend’s $500,000 Max Hempt Memorial after winning his elim in a lifetime record 1:49.3.

Brittany wishes the best of luck to the connections of these top stakes horses in the rich finals of these events that total $2-million in purses. (See Draw)
