Glidemaster's Blue Porsche is all "Goodtimes!"
Jun 18th, 11
Champion Blue Porsche 2,1:54.1; 3,1:54 ($606,161), from the first crop of World Champion, "Horse of the Year" and Triple Crown winner Glidemaster, solidified his position as North America's top-ranked 3-year-old colt trotter as he won the $347,000 Goodtimes Final at Mohawk on June 18.

The 3/5 betting choice began his march to the front of the 10-horse field--uncovered--before the half. He made a quick move around the turn, took over the lead at the top of the stretch and drew off to score in 1:54.2, with a snappy last quarter of :26.4. It was his fifth consecutive win, and his richest payday since taking last fall's $539,000 Valley Victory.
Blue Porsche is owned by new Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame inductee Bob Burgess, along with daughter-in-law Karin Olsson Burgess and the Blue Porsche Stable. He is trained by Blair Burgess and was bred by Pedigree Farm.
The colt was voted Canada's O'Brien Award-winning 2-year-old last year after he won the elim and final of the Valley Victory (in Canadian and North American Season's Record time), the Champlain, and Bluegrass Stakes. He was North America's fastest 2-year-old trotter on a mile track (1:54.1) and among the season's richest freshmen trotters, with over $400,000 in his account.
Brittany Stallion Management and the Glidemaster Syndicate extend its best wishes to Blue Porsche's connections as they continue to "cruise in style" to trotting's ultimate prize, the $1,500,000 Hambletonian at the Meadowlands.
With Blue Porsche--and many other impressive stakes winners--Glidemaster has already proven his ability to sire great racehorses, and keep in mind this is from only limited opportunity, as his first crop numbered only 49 foals. His second crop of foals--2011 2-year-olds--are already showing tremendous promise in training and at the baby races, making the future very bright for this up-and-coming sire.
