Master Glide, the handsome full brother to Champion and millionaire Passionate Glide, will now stand for a reduced fee of $1,500 for the remainder of the 2011 breeding season. He had previously stood for $3,000, with the opportunity to breed two mares for the price of one. Those who booked earlier this season will be notified of the reduced price.

Master Glide is one of only two advertised trotting stallions standing in Kentucky this year, which means little competition for those who breed to race in the lucrative Kentucky Sire Stakes. That program has been announced to have two $30,000 legs in 2011, with $250,000 finals for 2 and 3-year-olds of each gait and sex.

Master Glide was "the pick" of the Brittany Farms' yearling crop in 2006, and even trainer Jimmy Takter called him "our top-rated yearling" of that year. He's a gorgeous and powerful individual, and there's no better maternal family from which to pick a sire than his.

He's a Yankee Glide full brother to 2 and 3-year-old Champion and Hambletonian Oaks winner Passionate Glide 2,1:55.4; 3,1:52.2 ($2,060,447) and his maternal line has produced no less than five $250,000 yearlings, including the $350,000 Lexington sale-topper in 2007. It's also a family of notable sires.

Master Glide's first commercial crop (60 foals) will race this year as 2-year-olds, and the training reports coming in indicate without question that they'll be heard from in the rich KYSS and perhaps well beyond.

If you have a late-foaling trotting mare he certainly warrants your consideration for a booking. For complete information, current USTA statistics, a hypothetical mating report and a booking application, just click on his link on the left side of this page.
