New York has never looked brighter!

With so much turmoil in regard to funding for many state and provincial racing programs, many Standardbred breeders have looked to New York for 2012. The New York Sire Stakes program appears to be on very solid footing, and efforts are underway to keep it vibrant in the years ahead.

If you’re switching to New York, or have a late mare that hasn’t yet been booked, Brittany’s New York pacing stallions–American Ideal and Artiscape–offer outstanding, proven production at fees that make them as competitive as any in the marketplace.

American Ideal (see his web page) has produced champions in each of his first two crops, with his progeny led by millionaire Idyllic, World Champion American Jewel, and a colt you’re hearing a lot about when it comes to talk of who might win the 2012 classics, Heston Blue Chip.

American Ideal stands at Blue Chip Farms at a fee of $7,500, quite a value considering his siring potential and the fact that his yearlings sold for up to $280,000 last fall.

And where can you find a sire that’s already delivered seven millionaires at a fee of just $5,000? The answer: Winbak Farm of New York, where the “millionaire-maker” Artiscape stands (see his web page).

Throughout his career Artiscape has proven to be an exceptional early speed (read that as early return on investment!) sire, and last year was no exception, as his freshman crop featured the stakes colt Escape The News and the filly Shelliscape, both of whom will be competing in the 3-year-old glamour events this summer.

Take a moment to visit their web pages and have a look at how the progeny of each sire fares on the racetrack and in the yearling sales ring. We think you’ll come away with a feeling that they, just like the New York program, have a bright future ahead!
