There have been a slew of very fast 4-year-olds that have sped down the stretch at the “new” Meadowlands this year, and now joining those is Real Desire’s Real Flight p,2,1:54.3f; 3,1:52.4f; 1:50.4, the decisive winner of the Exit 16W Series on Feb. 10. (Watch Race)

Real Flight, with Tim Tetrick in the bike, took over before the half and never looked back, tacking on a :27 final quarter to win handily in a career best 1:50.4. The 4-year-old is owned by Jeffrey Bamond and trained by P.J. Fraley. He was bred and raised right here at Brittany Farms and sold as a yearling at the Lexington Selected Sale.

Part of his sire Real Desire’s popularity among breeders and buyers stems from the fact that he not only can get you World Champion 2-year-olds (by the way, he has two to his credit!) but horses that have both the durability and high speed that it takes to go on to successful careers as older performers.

If you’re a simulcast watcher or race attendee you know exactly what we mean…you see them in action every night at the major tracks like the Meadowlands and Woodbine!

Real Desire stands his second season in Indiana in 2012 at Midland Acres, for a fee of $5,000. He’s the #1 sire standing in the Hoosier State in terms of 2011 progeny earnings, 1:55 2-year-olds and 1:52 3-year-olds.

If you’re looking to breed into the solid Indiana program, you’re invited to visit his stallion page and fill out a booking application. But don’t delay…he was “book full and closed” last year!
