Real Desire’s Rockin Ron honored in Indiana

Rockin RonRockin Ron p,1:47.2 ($1,574,418), by Brittany Stallion Management’s Indiana-based stallion Real Desire, was named Indiana’s 2018 “Older Pacer of the Year” at the recent awards banquet conducted by the Indiana Standardbred Association.

Brittany congratulates his owners Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, RTC Stables and J&T Silva Stables and wishes them continued success with their Free For All standout.

The now 7-year-old added more than $530,000 to his bank account last year, winning legs of the Levy Series and setting a track record of 1:50.1 in the $150,000 Camluck Classic over Western Fair’s half-mile track.

He placed in such FFA markers as the $500,000 Ben Franklin and $471,000 William Haughton Memorial.

During his career in the Hoosier State he won numerous Indiana Sire Stakes legs and twice won the ISS Championship for older pacers.

Rockin Ron is one of four millionaires sired by Real Desire, the others being Canadian Horse of the Year and U.S. Pacer of the Year State Treasurer p,1:47 ($1,908,424), Pacer of the Year Tell All p,3,1:48.3 ($1,509,227), and Razzle Dazzle p,1:49f ($1,017,956).
