Six Pack

Six Pack lowered his own World Record—and became the 37th millionaire bred by Brittany Farms—when he won both his elim and the final of the $620,000 Kentucky Futurity on closing day of the Red Mile Grand Circuit meet.

Six Pack 2,1:55.4f; 3,1:49.1 ($1,156,715), a New York-sired 3-year-old colt by Muscle Mass-Pleasing Lady (Cantab Hall), lowered his own World Record of 1:50 and now becomes the third-fastest trotter in history, behind only Homicide Hunter and Sebastian K.

According to his trainer Ake Svanstedt, a man who knows a thing or two about World Champion trotters, having conditioned Sebastian K and Plunge Blue Chip, Six Pack is “well capable of going even faster.”

His win in the Futurity, the third leg of trotting’s Triple Crown, is added onto earlier season scores in the Yonkers Trot, Stanley Dancer Memorial, Empire Breeders Classic, an Earl Beal Memorial elim, and a pair of New York Sire Stakes.

Bred and raised by Brittany Farms and sold as a yearling in their draft at the 2016 Lexington Selected Sale, Six Pack was purchased by Svanstedt for $30,000 for himself and the ownership group of Jeff Gural’s Little E LLC, Stall Kalmar FF and Lars Berg.

It’s now on to the Breeders Crown and perhaps greater glory for this ultra-talented trotter and his team. All of us at Brittany wish them the very best!
