American Ideal…is he next in line?
9 . 14 . 2009
World Champion American Ideal, with his first crop of foals set to make their debut at the upcoming Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, is the “ideal” candidate to become the next siring sensation.
Just consider this fact: American Ideal proved himself faster on the racetrack than today’s leading and second-leading sires of 2-year-old pacers, Rocknroll Hanover (like American Ideal, also by Western Ideal) and Art Major.
On his way to his 1:47.4 World Record performance at Lexington’s Red Mile, American Ideal lowered Rocknroll Hanover’s Meadowlands track record and Art Major’s all-age Canadian half-mile track record (1:50.3h). Think of the success of those two young sires…and then think of what could be on the way for American Ideal.
He possesses the extreme speed and racing class that are essential ingredients for future siring success, and on top of that, he has as much or more of a siring pedigree than any stallion in America. He’s the fastest son of emerging “sire of sires” Western Ideal (by Hall of Fame sire Western Hanover) and from a daughter of the World Champion and grand matriarch Three Diamonds.
Twenty-two of his first-crop yearlings, eligible to the ultra-rich New York Sire Stakes, are ready to step into the sales ring in Lexington…and he’s ready to step into the lineup of the sport’s greatest sires!
