Glidemaster's first foals top the Lexington Selected Sale!
10 . 19 . 2009

Yearlings from the first crop of Brittany Stallion Management’s “Horse of the Year,” World Champion and Triple Crown winner Glidemaster were the number one sellers at the recently concluded Lexington Selected Sale. Not only did Glidemaster lead all stallions with a yearling average of $64,429, he also was responsible for the overall sale-topper, as his son Ultimo Dulce (from Pizza Dolce, former 2YO Champion Filly) sold for $270,000.

Other Glidemasters sold for $100,000-plus as well, and horsemen left the Bluegrass impressed with the outstanding potential of his great-looking colts and fillies.

And first crop American Ideals sell for up to $200,000!

Colts and fillies from the first crop of World Champion American Ideal were also successful in the sales ring, as yearlings from his first crop of foals averaged six times his stud fee in Lexington! He also sired one of the sale’s top-priced colts, Lexarts, the first foal from $385,000 winner Art’s Temptress, who made $200,000. Lexarts was one of the highlights from our own Brittany Farms consignment.

Brittany extends it thanks to everyone who inspected and bid on yearlings by both of these promising young stallions, and we wish everyone who purchased one the very best of racing luck!

If you missed buying a Glidemaster or American Ideal yearling at Lexington, opportunity still awaits in Harrisburg. There you’ll find 23 Pennsylvania-eligibles by Glidemaster and 34 New York-eligibles by American Ideal waiting to go under the auctioneer’s gavel.
