Image Of Dawn becomes “Millionaire No. 21”
12 . 7 . 2009

The iron-tough pacer Image Of Dawn p,2,1:52.3; 3,1:50.4 ($1,000,224) just became the 21st million-dollar winning racehorse bred by Brittany Farms. The son of Life Sign-Clear Copy (by Jate Lobell), was bred and raised by Brittany and sold as a yearling for $85,000 at the former Tattersalls Sale in Lexington.

He was a stakes winner at both 2 and 3 and has since gone on to be a terrific open and invitational class performer. He is currently competing in the winners-over class at Yonkers, where he is campaigned by Pat Lachance, who has owned and trained the horse throughout his illustrious career. Durability and consistency are his strong suits, as he’s posted 44 wins and has hit the board in nearly half of his career starts.

Image Of Dawn’s dam Clear Copy has been an excellent producer, as she’s also the dam of Garnsey Memorial winner Copywriter p,3,1:51.2 ($339,560) and the granddam of North America Cup and Little Brown Jug winner and “Pacer of the Year” Tell All p,3,1:48.3 ($1,509,227), a Brittany stallion now standing in New Jersey.

Brittany Farms takes great pride in being one of the sport’s highest-percentage breeders of millionaire performers, and we expect to have many more on the way in the Brittany-breds that are now racing...and those yet to sell as yearlings.
