Four Starzzz Shark: Success around the world!
12 . 22 . 2009

Brittany Stallion Management’s Four Starzzz Shark proved with his first commercial crop that he was a pacing sire to be reckoned with. And his second foal crop--2-year-olds of 2009--proved that he belonged at the top of the list!

He ranked as North America’s number one percentage sire of both 1:53 and 1:55 2-year-old pacers in 2009, and sired 11 2-year-olds that took records of 1:55 or faster. Those were led by the pair of North American season’s record-setters Morgan Shark p,2,1:52.3f and Brittany-bred Beignet p,2,1:53f, as well as the 1:53 performers Dancinwiththestarz p,2,1:52.4f and Fancyfreeshark p,2,1:52.4f.

Not only that, but his 2-year-olds earned over $1.1-million in 2009, and just as important for market breeders, his 2009 yearlings sold for up to 11 times his stud fee!

Now comes word that his success is spreading across the globe…

Recently in New Zealand a 3-year-old colt by Four Starzzz Shark, one of only three of his foals conceived by frozen semen Down Under, took on the best of his class in the Group 2 Alabar Elsu Classic at Alexandra Park and won convincingly. Named Four Starzzz Flash, he went three wide the last lap of the approximate 1 3/8-mile distance and won for the second time in just three lifetime starts.

Four Starzzz Shark is completing his second season of stud duty in Australia and will soon head back to the U.S., where he stands at Walnridge Farm of Pennsylvania at a fee of $6,000. He has served full books of over 200 mares in each of the past two seasons Down Under…and we believe he’ll be a popular choice for U.S. breeders in 2010!
