The 2018 book for New York’s number one pacing sire American Ideal is full and closed for the 2018 season.

Brittany Stallion Management thanks both syndicate members and outside breeders for their continued support, and hopes a top-selling yearling and champion pacer lies in their future.

American Ideal ($10,000-Blue Chip Farms) has now bred a full or nearly full book of mares every year since he entered stud in 2007.

“It’s not like he hasn’t been bred to great mares through the years, because he has. But in the last several years his book has gotten better and better, ” said farm manager Art Zubrod. “This year is no exception.”

American Ideal was New York’s leading money-winning pacing sire again in 2017, as well as the leading pacing sire in the lucrative New York Sire Stakes program. His progeny earned $14.1-million overall and more than $2.4-million in the NYSS alone.

The sire of 11 millionaires worldwide has produced the career earners of $73-million, including last year’s World Champion and Dan Patch Champion 2-year-old pacing filly Youaremycandygirl p,2,1:50 ($895,615).

His great year on the racetrack was reflected at last fall’s sales, as his yearling average surpassed four times his stud fee and they sold for up to $170,000.
