Rockin Ron

Real Desire’s newest millionaire Rockin Ron p,1:47.2 ($1,096,107), the 2017 Indiana Sire Stakes Champion, is now two for two in the Levy Series at Yonkers after winning last Saturday’s leg en route to the $200,000 final.

Leaving briskly from the two hole, he set all the fractions and won in a measured 1:53.2 after scoring the previous week in 1:53 flat.

The now 5-year-old from the “Burke Brigade” is owned by Burke Racing, Weaver Bruscemi, RTC Stables and J&T Silva Stables. His trainer Ron Burke has high aspirations for continuing success for him this year, not only in the Levy, but also in other big money, free for all open stakes.

After winning Indiana Sire Stakes at 2 and 3 against a crop that included Wiggle It Jiggleit and Freaky Feet Pete, Rockin Ron went on the following two years to win stakes in both the U.S. and Canada, and counts among his victories the Confederation Cup, Prix d’Ete and Dayton Pacing Derby.

Rockin Ron and World Champion State Treasurer p,1:47 ($1,908,424) are the two fastest sons of Real Desire. And if Rockin Ron carries on the tradition of the latter—2015’s “Older Pacing Horse of the Year” in the U.S. and “Horse of the Year” in Canada—big things could lie in store!
