Brittany Stallion Management’s Real Desire, perennially among the sport’s leading pacing sires of 2-year-old speed, chalked up yet another freshman World Champion when his son Mystic Desire p,2,1:51.4-1:52.4h ($329,235) won the $116,700 Abe Lincoln Stakes on Nov. 19 over Maywood’s half-mile track in 1:52.4. In 2010, Brittany Stallion Management’s Real Desire ranks as the leading active percentage sire of 1:55 2-year-old pacers among Pennsylvania sires, and everyone knows the siring talent that resides in that state. And leading his charge of fast freshman pacers this year is Mystic Desire p,2,1:51.4 ($270,885), who scurried off to a 4 1/4-length win in the $127,000 final of the American-National 2YO Colt Pace at Balmoral Park on November 13.
