NEWS UPDATE! Real Desire's Ville Valo wins the first leg of the Indiana Sire Stakes 3YO Colt Pace gate to wire in a career best 1:51.2.

Real Desire not only sired the fastest pacer in America last year and Canada’s “Horse of the Year,” State Treasurer; he is also the sire of Rockin Ron, without question one of the hottest racehorses in North America so far this year. (No. 4 in Top Ten Poll > See Poll)

Rockin Ron p,4,1:50.1h ($332,608), by Real Desire-Im All A Roan, has now won 11 races in his last 12 starts, from last November through his second-place finish in last Saturday’s Graduate Series at the Meadowlands.

In the $244,000 Confederation Cup on May 15, which he won in Canadian record and North American season’s record time of 1:50.1h, he went gate to wire with :26.2 and :26.3 bookends to keep 2015 Horse of the Year Wiggle It Jiggleit three-quarters of a length behind him at the finish. He’s become known for his bookend fast fractions—both opening and final quarters in :27 or faster.

“You don't see horses often leave in :26 and change, come right back to you, and then come home in :26 and change,” said Mark Weaver, who co-owns Rockin Ron with his Weaver-Bruscemi partnership, RTC Stables and Burke Racing.

Rockin Ron, now 4, was in his sire Real Desire’s first Indiana crop. Like so many of his sire’s offspring, he was a stakes winner as a juvenile and yet has the extreme speed and ability to go forward as an FFA-quality older horse.

Brittany Stallion Management and Real Desire’s Indiana home Ivy Lane Farm wish continued success to Rockin Ron’s connections and hope to see them in the winner’s circle many times during the upcoming stakes season.
