There was no looking back for Western Fame, as the winner of four legs of this year’s Levy Series went gate to wire in the $664,000 final at Yonkers last Saturday, scoring in a stakes record-equaling 1:50.4.

The Brittany Farms-bred 5-year-old shot to the front from the five hole and slammed the door on his rivals down the lane, widening his lead and eventually drawing off by 4 3/4 lengths. (Watch race below)

It was the third straight Levy win for Western Fame’s trainer-driver duo of Rene Allard and Dan Dube. The now 5-year-old by Western Ideal-Shyaway is owned by Go Fast Stable, Stephen Klunowski, B & I Stables and Gil Short.

The victory in the year’s richest event to date pushed Western Fame’s career earnings to $1,487,320 and moved him up to 19th on the list of the 38 millionaires bred by Brittany Farms or Brittany Farms & Partners.

If your goal is to race at the top levels of the sport and take home the trophy from major stakes races, purchasing a Brittany Farms yearling is a great way to start that quest.

Brittany is harness racing’s leading breeder in percentage of millionaires from foals bred; the second-leading overall breeder of Breeders Crown Champions; and was last year’s #1 breeder in average earnings per starter, at more than $50,000 per horse.

Our full 2019 yearling crop is listed here, with “live” pedigrees for each horse included. The majority of those yearlings will be sold at the Lexington Selected Yearling Sale, Oct. 1-5 at the Fasig-Tipton Pavilion.
