December 02, 2019

Shake That House, a son of Brittany Stallion Management’s American Ideal, defeated North America Cup winner Captain Crunch and Breeders Crown Champion Dancin Lou when he won the season’s final major stake last Wednesday—the $335,000 Progress Pace at Dover Downs. (Watch Race)

The win raised the 3-year-old’s earnings to $687,767 for owner Crawford Farms Racing, Alan Johnston and Northfork Racing Stable. He was bred by Fair Winds Farm and sold as a $160,000 yearling at the 2017 Harrisburg Sale.

The Chris Oakes trainee has posted seven wins this year that also include the elim and final of the $500,000 Hempt Memorial at Pocono Downs. He won two New York Sire Stakes races and was placed in both the Tattersalls and Bluegrass during the Red Mile Grand Circuit meet.

He took his 1:47.4 career mark in a track record performance at Vernon Downs.

Shake That House is among the marquee performers that have placed American Ideal among North America’s top three money-winning pacing sires of 2019. His progeny earnings for this year—$15.5-million—were created by siring top horses like Shake That House, Breeders Crown Champion and millionaire American History (bred by Brittany Farms) and Bluegrass and Messenger winner American Mercury.
