Bettor’s Wish: Train keeps rollin'

October 07, 2019

Brittany bred-raised-sold Bettor’s Wish, the sport’s #1 ranked male pacer, continues to dominate his class after taking his sixth win in his last seven starts in a division of the $540,000 Tattersalls Pace at the Red Mile.

The colt by Bettor’s Delight-Lifetime Star took a hard-fought, 1:48.4 victory in the 3-year-old classic last Saturday over a track rated “good,” defeating nemesis Captain Crunch. He remains the richest Standardbred of the season with $1,288,944 in 2019 earnings and in 15 starts he sports a slate of 11-4-0.

The Lexington Selected yearling of 2017 won the Bluegrass at the Red Mile the week previous, along with this term’s $300,000 Art Rooney, $400,000 Carl Milstein, and $250,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes Championship. He won elims of both the Meadowlands Pace and North America Cup and finished second in the finals of both events.

He is owned by trainer Chris Ryder and partners Bella Racing, Fair Island Farm, and Bettor’s Wish Partners and has been piloted all year by the Red Mile Grand Circuit meet’s leading driver, Dexter Dunn.

Brittany congratulates all and wishes them continued good fortune as they make their way toward the ultimate prize: the Breeders Crown.
