Brittany Farms: Quality Over Quantity

October 05, 2020

It’s sale week in Lexington... and whether yearling buyers show up in-person at Fasig-Tipton, or bid by phone or online, we hope a visit to Brittany’s consignment in Barn 10 at Fasig-Tipton—or a look at the virtual inspection videos here on this website—is a stop on one’s itinerary.

Quite simply, there are horses in our shedrow that buyers—at all price levels—do not want to miss! The farm takes great pride in being named the 2019 “Breeder of the Year,” based on accomplishments that are unequaled in the sport of harness racing. Over the past many years, from moderately-sized foal crops, Brittany has bred, raised and sold horses that have gone on to earn millions of dollars and create racing fame for their owners.

These include horses whose value extends beyond the racetrack, an example being Father Patrick... a World Champion and classics winner of more than $2.5-million, whose value as a sire makes that earnings number pale in comparison!

Brittany is by far the world’s leading percentage breeder (from number of foals) of both millionaires (40) and Breeders Crown Champions (25), and the list of great horses produced by the farm grows larger every year (see the Hall Of Fame).

Our Lexington Selected consignment speaks for itself, and promises to deliver more of the types of racehorses that has made Brittany one of the world’s most accomplished Standardbred farms.
