Yearling roster now available

July 08, 2021

The roster of yearlings that will be sold by 2019 and 2020 "Breeder of the Year" Brittany Farms at the Lexington Selected Sale this fall are now available on the website’s “Yearlings” page.

TrackIT pedigrees with daily updates may be viewed by clicking on each yearling’s name. High-definition virtual inspection videos for all the yearlings will be added later in the summer.

The consignment, including horses owned by the farm or by the farm and partners, numbers 24 this year. They will be offered as usual at Lexington’s Fasig-Tipton Newtown Paddocks on the evenings of Tuesday, Oct. 5 through Saturday, Oct. 9. They may be inspected prior to the sale at the farm, or at the sale in Barn 10.

Eight yearlings — half the farm’s inventory of pacers — are by none other than Captaintreacherous, the no. 1 pacing sire both on the racetrack and in the sales ring. Overall the “Captains” are an exceptional group that includes the full sister to dual PASS/KYSS 2YO Champion Blue Diamond Eyes, the half-brother to 2 & 3YO stakes winner Heart Of Mine, the first foal (a colt) from a full sister to Breeders Crown Champion American History, and a half-brother to promising 2021 2YO Pebble Beach.

The trotting side of the ledger features yearlings by all the top sires — Muscle Hill, Chapter Seven and his son Walner, Father Patrick, and a pair from the first crop of the royally-bred speedster, Muscle Hill’s son Tactical Landing.

A pair to watch for is the Muscle Hill half-brother to $300,000 winner Starita, and the Tactical Landing filly from World Champion, Hambletonian Oaks winner and millionaire Lifetime Pursuit.

Visitors are always welcome at the farm for pre-sale inspections. If planning to come, please call in advance (859-873-3878) so that the farm's staff may better accommodate your needs.
