Twin B Joe Fresh Defeats Elders

November 27, 2023

Three-year-old pacing filly Twin B Joe Fresh p, 3,1:48.2 ($1,440,203), among the 47 millionaires bred by Brittany Farms, took on older mare pacers in the $175,000 FanDuel Open Mare Pace at the Meadowlands last Saturday and proved much the best. (Watch Race)

Her impressive score in the FanDuel was the 19th victory in her illustrious career and puts her earnings close to the million and a half dollar mark.

The Roll With Joe-Fresh Breeze filly was sold by Brittany in utero to Twinbrook Farms, who in turn foaled her out and sold her as a yearling at Harrisburg. Brittany congratulates her current owner-trainer Chris Ryder and his partners Dexter Dunn, Peter Trebotica and Barry Spak.

As a 2-year-old, the dual-eligible filly won finals of both the New York Sire Stakes ($200,000) and Kentucky Sire Stakes ($400,000) and closed out her freshman campaign by sweeping the Bluegrass and International Stallion Stakes at the Red Mile. She was the fastest 2-year-old pacer of 2022 regardless of sex (1:48.4) and third-richest, with almost $600,000 on her card.

This year at 3, competing at times against the top-ranked filly Sylvia Hanover, she won 11 stakes races and added another $842,000 to her ledger. She was victorious in the FanDuel, Matron, Glen Garnsey Memorial, James Lynch Memorial, Fan Hanover elim, Empire Breeeders Classic, two New York Sire Stakes and two Kentucky Sire Stakes — plus another $400,000 KYSS Final.

Brittany wishes all the best to her connections moving forward, whether plans call for her to continue racing or begin life as a valued broodmare.
