Brittany Stallion Management has announced that 2002 “Horse of the Year” and World Champion sire Real Desire, a stallion that Brittany has managed since he began his career in 2003, has been retired from stud duty.

Despite having only a few yearlings on offer, Real Desire led all pacing sires at the 2020 Hoosier Classic Yearling Sale with an average of $42,833. Larry Bond and Burke Racing took home his top sellers at $65,000 and $48,000, respectively.

Brittany Stallion Management’s Indiana sire Real Desire made the most of the Memorial Day holiday weekend by siring stakes winners on both sides of the U.S.-Canadian border.

Rockin Ron p,1:47.2 ($1,574,418), by Brittany Stallion Management’s Indiana-based stallion Real Desire, was named Indiana’s 2018 “Older Pacer of the Year” at the recent awards banquet conducted by the Indiana Standardbred Association.
